As a God-fearing Patriot, parent, county resident, and active member of the community for over 30 years, I am very concerned about the deterioration of the quality of life in our county, which not so long ago was the standard for other counties in Maryland. For this reason and more, I have decided to run for the Montgomery County Council, representing my Home District County Council District 7.
It is abundantly evident and clear that we need new leadership in our council with fresh ideas and an unbiased approach to clean up our communities. The council has failed us with its incompetence in so many levels, ignoring the concerns of residents and parents over the flawed policies it has taken in the last four years. The council’s inappropriate and ill-advised policies have sharply deteriorated the quality of life in our communities, which is sadly following a downward trend the county has experienced for at least 15 years, negatively affecting the economy, public health, education, and security.
We owe to it our families, our children, our neighbors, and our community to get involved in our county’s legislative body and represent the thousands of voices the county council ignores; concerned parents, disgruntled business owners, and residents want change now. We see the need to halt the deterioration of our quality of life in our communities and want something done to return to the policies that once championed family values, common sense, and personal freedoms.
One of two new districts added by the Montgomery Council in 2021. District 7, is located northeast of the county, which includes; Damascus, Mt. Airy, Cedar Grove, Goshen, Laytonsville, Montgomery Village, Gaithersburg (part), Redland, Derwood, Olney, Norwood, Sandy Spring-Ashton, Brighton, and Brookeville,

DONATE TODAY TO HAROLD MALDONADO FOR COUNTY COUNCIL
We´re up against a well-funded democrat-party machine that will stop at nothing to remain in power and keep a stronghold of the council. For this reason, your support is key in making a stance against this machine that has been instrumental in the deterioration of the quality of life in the county. If they are not challenged, we are a short time away from losing our schools, our small businesses, and our communities to become a failed democrat-run county.
I am working hard to save Montgomery County, for you, your family, and your neighbors, but cannot do it without your help. Please consider donating to ensure that we don’t go down the path of social decay, economic stagnation, and government overreach.
Every dollar given to the campaign goes directly to grassroots efforts, which is the basis for my campaign to reach out to every community in our District 7.
As a grassroots campaign, we are relying on volunteers to spread the message out to every part of District 7. As a new district, it is important that its residents be active in the election process and to make sure their concerns and issues are addressed and represented. Every person has something to offer and we would be honored and privileged to have you in our team. No big commitments necessary, one day, two days, a few hours, only weekends, only phone calls, whatever fits your schedule. If you have never done it, this is a great opportunity to do so as the stakes could not be any higher for our district and our county as a whole.
